We’re glad you are here!

You will find that at Friends we are not only multi-cultural we are also inter-generational. We believe that every generation has great strengths and can help our Family grow in faith. We take opportunity to learn from our children, our teens and young adults and our adults of every age group. We love being together and intentionally create opportunities to share life with each other.

We are guessing that you have come to this page because you have questions. Well, this is our version of FAQ or “frequently asked questions.” If your question isn't listed, email it to us and we will add it!

What is the music like?

We would be considered more contemporary than some churches. Our music is a mix of cultures with a live band and vocalists. It’s lively, upbeat, and presented well. Every time there is a 5th Sunday in a month, we have our children stay in with us for the entire service for what we call ‘Family Worship Sunday.”

What should I wear?

If you wear a tie, suit, or cocktail dress, we will know you are a guest. Business casual is the attire at Friends. Some men wear shorts and golf shirts. Ladies wear slacks, sundresses, or capris. Our teens wear clothes like they would wear to school. We want you to be comfortable. Our saying is, “No ties, no pressure, no kidding.” Last guy that wore a tie was in a wedding.

What are the people like?

Friends is a place of friendly people. But it’s also a place where you can make friends. You will find most of our people will greet you, introduce themselves and help you feel at home. We are a multi-cultural church, with numerous people groups represented. There will be someone else like you!

What time will it end?

We start at 10 AM on Sundays, and you can be assured that we will be finished with our time together in an hour and fifteen mintues.

Do you have quality child care?

We have a room for nursery, toddler, and elementary aged children. Our staff are trained, experienced and have passed background checks for your peace of mind.

Do you have something for my grade school children?

KidKonnect happens each week during the 10 AM service. Our children meet with the adults for about 15 minutes, so that they can be a part of the music portion, and then they are dismissed for their lesson. You can meet them in their classroom afterwards. If you like, you can go to KidZone with them so that you can feel comfortable with the teacher, the setting and their adjustment.

Are you easy to find?

408 East to Dean Road. Two Blocks South. Or, One Block North of Lake Underhill, on the East Side of Dean Road.

Is there enough parking?

We have plenty of parking. But don’t get the wrong idea; the tram won’t be coming out to the ‘Cinderella’ section to give you a ride.

Are you going to bombard me, embarrass me, call me out, make me stand up, sing a song, or introduce myself?

It’s not likely. The last guy that spoke up made us rethink that strategy. So, no, we will only make you feel incredibly welcome and comfortable.
